Mid career, MS in CS or MBA

Hey blinders, may I have your thoughts on this? I am currently a sr DS in amazon. I am also a mom with two young kids. Life is not easily balanced as you may guess. I am thinking to leave workspace for 3 years so i can have more quality time with my kids, at the same time, advance my education a bit. I am thinking MS in CS focusing on ML might prepare me to re-enter workspace more easily? MBA could prepare me for future management opportunities? I personally love people management and multiple people told me I am natural on leading and earning trust. If you were me, which one would you choose? I would love to hear your reasoning. Thank you for taking your time! TC 280kšŸŒšŸŒšŸŒ YOE: 10 #data #dataanalytics

Or try to find a better WLB company that supports part time MBA and ask your partner to pull their weight (if not already).

Work, kids, and education....Too tough to do three all together, at least to mešŸ˜¢

Why not give it a shot first and if you can make it work ?. Why do women always have to choose between family and aspirations. Best of luck

Post-MBA jobs will pay you much less. Reputable programs will keep you very busy, not exactly a chill opportunity to raise children.

Hmmm...good point. Need more research on the commitment required for each program.

MS CS will keep you busy with homework and exams donā€™t do it

Deloitte levelupx3 Dec 8, 2021

Second this. Good CS programs are not chill at all. Expect 40-45 hours week attending lectures and doing homework. Very challenging.

What about choose 1-2 courses per semester? I can plan 20-25 hours learning. Will that be enough?

Why not move into product management, program manager or analytics manager in a different company offering better wlb.
