Might fail a class last semester - Accepted a new grad offer

I accepted an offer at a company in SF. I have fear that I might fail a class this last semester. My school is close to the office. So I can totally come back and retake the class while working. Will the company likely let me do that? I don’t really want to call my recruiter and ask for the possibility right now. I might end up passing the class. I’m just trying to figure out if it is possible. Will companies rescind new grad offers if we don’t graduate? I’m a US citizen. TC: 115k base, 20k sign on bonus, some stocks

Don’t fail. If it’s looking close work with your prof. Despite what college kids think most professors don’t enjoy failing kids and are usually willing to work with students who are humble and have the attitude of someone willing to do what it takes

See If u can late drop the class.

It’s required to graduate

If it's a large employer they will rescind the offer because you won't meet the minimum criteria in the job description and if they hire you without a degree they won't be able to honestly put on visa applications for others that the position requires a degree: hiring you proved it doesn't. Small companies likely won't care.

I should have stated I’m a US citizen. That probably makes things less complicated

My company is similar to Lyft.

Can you now ask the joining date to be moved to a later date? Maybe take up the course next semester

Zynga CuriousABC Apr 19, 2019

Move your starting date by a few months - most companies are fine with this. You really don't want to give up your degree - especially after you've put so much time into it. If the company isn't willing to move the start date - I would say drop the company - you can always get more offers just before you graduate. Good luck! :)
