I’m trying to sell family assets in India and convert them into USD. Any suggestions from folks who’ve done this without paying banks exorbitant fees?
Bonus question: if I sell real estate in India, can I purchase real estate in the US as an exchange and not pay taxes?

All platforms ask for KYC before you can buy. Buying large amounts is risky, can be easily noticed by Indian Income Tax department, crypto is taxed at income from other sources rate rather than short term/long term capital gains so not worth the risk.
Use a service like localbitcoins.com. Meet someone in person, give them fiat, receive coins in your wallet
Naive question: How do we deal with large cash ?? Let’s say we sold land and got around 50lakh inr. When we deposit into the bank, don’t they ask for any proof of money?
