Is there a way I can do mock interviews with Amazon software engineers? I have an upcoming final round, and want to be as prepared as possible.
Try Pramp. Not as real though.
IMHO it’s a lot less about interviewing with an amazon engineer and more so just being decent at interviewing. Take it from this old fuck that’s been on both sides of the interview table. You have NO idea who you’re going to get that day. Moreover, even if you do find someone to practice with there’s no way of knowing if what they say you should focus on is what you’ll be asked about. I’ve done on-sites at Amazon and this is the tl:dr of my experiences. 1. They will ask you questions about their leadership principles. Be ready. 2. Amazon SOMETIMES can have it’s head up it’s own ass thinking the entire world works like Amazon so they can ask questions as to why you did or didn’t do some thing without realizing they assume everywhere is like Amazon. 3. The bar raiser interview tends to be the most bullshit one. Sorry. 4. Be ready to answer questions about scalability and performance. 5. If you get stuck and you are starting to freak out take ~2 mins to go stretch your legs, get some water, go to the bathroom, whatever you need to do then come back and start again from the beginning. 6. Thanks for the advice.
Following this as I have one coming up as well
