Currently Working in a company with poor work-life balance even working on weekends but it's in a field I am passionate about which is crypto. I plan on starting a startup in the same field. The other one is paying more and has a better work-life balance but is working on AI. Both are startups and remote jobs. Current TC :- 30 Lakh INR (38,000$) and 1% Equity Profits New TC :- 86 Lakh INR(110,000$) (Could offer equity in future) yoe:- 3 location:India (Please also add your opinions in the comments I would really appreciate it) #tech #startup #salary #software #softwareengineer #amazon #carrer #offer #microsoft #google #startups #coinbase #crypto #rippling #india #swiggy #money #founder #remote #
I think if you are so passionate about crypto and don't mind working so much, then keep working with the current. As you said, the experience is more important for you than the money at this point.
Yeah but I am getting tired of this bad wlb . I am learning new things at the same time working over weekends and also long hours are affecting my health. So there are two major drawbacks of staying
If it is affecting your health then it's not worth it. Even if the money was the other way round I would have left the company with such poor wlb. In your case it's a win win, better wlb and much more money.
Passion is overrated. And you've barely started. How did you find this new company?
Angellist
OP, how is angellist as compared to LinkedIn for India? Can you share your experience? I never used angellist thinking that it’s not relevant for India. Did you find your current job from angellist as well?
I would also like to know that which company is paying 86 lpa?
It's a small startup. Can't reveal it due to anonymity.
Would you be okay to share that on DM?
Take the new offer, since you have paisson you can keep learning crypto anyway
Take the new offer, save enough and then you could startup or switch.
Hey Can I dm? Wanna explore the crypto field but finding it hard to go about it solely based on personal projects.
Yeah sure would love to help anyway possible
I'll dm in the morning, thanks for responding

Choose the 86 lpa company. The salary difference is wayyyy too huge.
Ya, but should we even focus on money in this early stage of our career path? I also think sometimes this time is getting more experience and knowledge so that we can make money in future.
Yes. Absolutely
