Morgan Stanley Vs J P Morgan Chase. Which is best for better tech career path?

I am expecting offers from both of them soon and thinking if there is any preference among these two. I am planning to join as a full stack software developer. Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks.

Highly dependent on what group/product for both firms

Seems like a downgrade from IBM for SWE

Why? I guess Banks also started modifying their stacks these days and need good engineers on their teams.

What about Morgan Stanley? Do you enjoy your work?

Moved from JP to MS, def the right call. JP is chill and crowded, MS is more fast-paced.

Jpm tech is very early 2000s esque in many teams - war files, standalone tomcat, IBM MQ, developers have to concern themselves with firewall rules way too much, jsps , etc. Jenkins builds share company infrastructure and they are slow or broken every week or so. Sometimes a Java build will take around an hour. We need to adopt Istio, k8s and bazel.

Where are you located?

Working at MS, NYC. Things are the same as said above. Have a friend at a tech firm and our tech stack seems dinosaur infront of theirs. Also know people at GS. Comp and work way way better than MS. Again it all depends on the team. Myself looking to get out :)
