Moving back to India due to Visa issues. What are the companies to go for as Senior software engineer? I am from Amazon , so have option to go back to Amazon India but in this post I am looking for other options than Amazon in terms of compensation and work. I am open to Bangalore and Hyderabad.
First move with Amazon. You get to keep your unvested stocks. Then switch in couple of years or so.
Also you can come back after a year from India and start a fresh try for h1b.
Didn't get H1b?
Yes.
Your wife will give up her h1b visa too ?
Go to h4.. Then apply next year for h1b
Don't make this mistake dude. Go on H4. Your wife gets to keep her job, and you get to work as long as H4 EAD thing remains uncertain.
Wow. You're ready to go back to India and also end your wife's career who already has H-1B? Your "Visa Issue" is not really an issue this year. Would you do this if you were on the other end? I.E. would you be ready to move back if your wife was tired of being on H4 and staying home? You're a disgrace on Indian men.
Dude, hold off on passing judgement just like that. For all we know, this decision was taken after considering many factors and his wife may be in agreement. Visa issues are very distressing, and I would totally understand someone realising that they have had enough of this BS.
+1 why do these men and women hold pitch fork and judge?
to begin with google, microsoft are in hyderabad, Almost every company exists in Bangalore. Personally I'd choose hyderabad over bangalore any day because of traffic chaos, water problems etc. Day to day life is much better in hyderabad.
What's your visa issue, if you can share?
I am on L1B. My visa expires on 15 Aug 2019. My Visa extension is going on under premium processing and got RFE. If approved, my visa will be extended until April 1, 2020. I did not get H1B lottery in the last 4 years. So, to avoid visa tensions I am planning to move back. My wife's is on H1B so moving to H4 is also an option but risky.
Why will extension be only for 1 year? I thought L1B extension is for 2 years (3 + 2). And shouldn't RFE for L1B be very easy to handle?
