Hi all, I just accepted an offer from SAP. I will be working out of the Palo Alto office and will be moving to SF area in about a month. I have a couple of questions: 1. I’m planning to live in the SF SOMA area or areas closer to the Cal train station and was wondering if there are any shuttles from SF to the Palo Alto office? If yes can someone please send me the details. 2. If shuttles aren’t available I’m planning to transit using cal train from SF to Palo Alto. Are there any shuttles to and fro from the Palo Alto station? Any details would be great. Thank you!
I think there’s another Caltrain stop at 22nd and Mission just south of he one you mentioned
There are many options like Mountainview, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, San Jose and Palo Alto too which are less costly compared to SF and easier to commute to SAP office in Palo alto.
Dont move please go home! we dont welcome you
Lol, he or she is more than welcome
I think there is a shuttle alright from Palo Alto Caltrain to the campus where SAP is. I’ve never got it myself but I know colleagues that have. On the housing front, 2-3k will probably get you a house share/room in a house or apartment in SF. If you want a one bed apt to yourself in around Mountain View, Sunnyvale etc you’re looking around 2800 per month, possibly more if a newer building. Palo Alto is more expensive again.
Yes, you can take a Caltrain from King St. or 22nd St. Stations to Palo Alto then pick up the Stanford (Marguerite Shuttle) that takes you right to the SAP campus. SAP offers transit subsidy that you can use toward your transit pass.
Don't do that, it is suicide, too much of a commute
Your recruiter at SAP should have these answers. Btw SF SOMA is a soulless neighborhood and mostly not very safe. What’s your budget?
Hey thanks for the reply, anywhere between 2-3k. I was planning to pick that area due to its proximity to the SF cal train station. Any other suggestions are welcome!
