I'm a product manager with 6 YoE. I'm looking to move to USA. I'm looking to apply for roles in companies that will eventually help me get to the US. Are companies open to relocation employees to USA after seeing them work and preform well for some time? Which companies can take me there fastest? Which companies have stringent/unreliable policies? PS: I don't have work authorization in USA. I haven't started my job hunt. I'm willing to relocate to other places in/outside India to eventually get to USA.
Bye Ma. Bye Pa. Hello Uncle Sam.
Why do you want to come to USA? Don't come on H1B. Marry a US citizen or something but not H1B.
India is better than US.
There is no such thing as a better country in general. It really depends on how you see it. Any country has its pros and cons
Net migration definitely disagrees.
Why, what's the attraction?
Good question. I've answered it in other replies.
Step out of Flipkart. We send all our work to India from American companies.
Currently the trump company can kick you out fastest.
🙄
Surprisingly none of the comments are constructive for OP till now. If I had something to offer I would have done it already but trollong isn't helping at all. Why so much hate?
It's not hate. It's wishing well for someone, to stop them from falling into a trap. I have people in my team who tell me they want to leave, but they have invested too much into the H1B job. I feel like telling everyone who isn't here to not move here. It's much nicer to keep visiting.
What exactly is the investment that is stopping them from leaving?
Look, life is good here. But, is it worth leaving everything back in India and come here for salary of $300k - given you will become good in some years not now - in SV? NOT worth it Try harder and get into MS or Google India. Making 60+ lacs will be better life than 300k in SV (Some years down the line if you make it)
Move to Walmart e-commerce and network and get relocated to US offices. Simple.
Is it easy to move from Walmart India to the US?
Why don't you find out. You'll be eligible for l1 visa if you are already worked for Flipkart for more than a year
It's fascinating to see how you wake up one fine morning and decide to relocate immediately to US.
It's not a sudden decision really. It's been cooking in my head for over a year now. I've visited my friends and relatives in US to see how it is out there. I know that it isn't easy to go via a job and that it will take time- years even. I'm really looking for guidance based on experiences/tribal knowledge so that I don't make catastrophic career decisions. :/
Interesting choice of words. Tribal knowlegde. You think we are a tribe here? Waiting to educate you on what's best for you? Go get that tribal wisdom from your relatives and friends. Why ask here.
