Moving out of USA

Been in usa for last 6 years. Came here for masters and I have been working in tech for last 4.5 years with Paypal. Now, Thinking of moving out of USA. I m thinking of applying for Canadian PR. My wife is Planning to do her MBA in Europe. If she gets a job in Europe , we are planning to settle in Europe. But if nothing works out in EU , we are planning to search for jobs in Canada with PR and settle there. How is the tech scene in Europe and Canada ? Me and wife just turned 30. I m in tech, Back end engineer. TC: 190k. Need general input and advices.

If you're Indian, you should state that on the post. Also why MBA in Europe? It's so hard to get management jobs as an Indian person there. Even insead and lbs grads struggle to find jobs one mind be happy about. Please don't run from 'lack of PR' to declining or tinyass economies. If India, China and US are the only economies you've been exposed to, you'll be mind-blown how hard it is to grow in other countries.

Yes I am Indian. 6 years back, when I came here masters , some of my undergrad friends did masters and MBA in Europe. All of them found jobs and now they are comfortable. I think getting a job is mostly tied to the effort you put in and contacts you have and in the field you search.

Just curious, why not Singapore though? (Chinese and South East Asian economy are all set for scorching growth in the coming years). I'm assuming the wife doesn't want to go to India, otherwise you'd pick the extraordinarily obvious choice of Bangalore because American corps will move more development to India and China over time if US immigration continues to be difficult. How did you pick an obscure location like Europe? Just trying to understand the thought process because I'm of similar age too, and Europe wasn't on my radar. What sectors are your friends in?

MBA in Europe is bad idea.. please try Singapore instead

How's the immigration at Singapore? And, MBA in Singapore can lead to good jobs? Like Product Management, etc?

Easy immigration for high skilled professionals, good tech jobs do exist...TC will be lower than US.. except housing, other expenses are cheaper

Good luck man. I'd recommend someplace where free market reigns. Why not Australia?

Dont consider Europe as US or Canada. Except for UK & bigger cities of Europe, language is a big barrier. I can say that from my personal experience. Not many people would know/want to speak english. Plus the government/visa offices will always use country’s local language, in which case things get tough. Learning local language just to get a bit of social could easily become taxing, specially if you are into tech industry, to the point where it f**ks up WLB & increases stress level. With that said, do consider this aspect of Europe. Good luck !!
