Moving to the bay area for a new job. Any tips on where to live?

Mid 20s woman looking for a safe area. Any tips?

Edit: Hoping to live in SF but open to other areas. Budget can go up to 4k for 2bdroom. Look for a safe area but also things to do.

    Don't listen to the idiots commenting. As a woman who lives in SF, I understand the safety concerns so here's my advice: try to find something around Noe valley, Pacific Heights, potrero hill, Glen Park, West portal

      Double masks on a street is pretty hysteric, vaccine passport check to go dine indoors, is quite communist.

      Nobody forces anybody to do that. It’s up to them… I don’t wear masks in the street and don’t feel like I have to. Maybe they have a condition?

      Where do they vaccine passport check? I haven’t seen any restaurant doing that in the bay. Maybe in SF?

      Check in Europe, they have the pass for everything. If you aren’t vaccinated, you can only go to a few grocery stores

      But península, m view , Palo Alto Sunnyvale, many neighbourhoods in SF, Berkeley, Oakland ( except few areas) are some options to look for

    Bay area is quite big. Where is your office? For perspective, sf to sj is often more than 2 hr drive during commute hours.

      If your budget is 2.5k to 3k you should look at places in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara around Lawrence station. Very safe and nice commute to MTV.
