Currently in late 20s. I'm thinking if it would be a good idea to move to Europe around 45, like an early retirement/work with a basic salary to meet the needs I wonder if Europe would be a lot better place to live than US? I also see that the salaries in Europe are very low and taxes are high too. Those who made the move what do you feel? Any suggestions/experiences please share. Also what would be a good amount to have by 45 to make such a move.

The older you get, the harder moving is. At 45 you wouldn't want to move.
Voted neutral: you should really want this for yourself.
Avoid the uk.
Why?
Cold, wet and drinking culture
Salaries are lower here but so are your expenses. You can rent a 3 bedroom apartment in Berlin for 800-1000€. Weekly grocery store visit for a family of 3 will rarely go beyond 50€
Would be nice in Spain, South of France, for weather and low expenses.
Are you sure that you will live till 45 or more? Nobody knows dude.
Portugal, malta and Greece should be relatively cheap
Not enough info to answer.... no significant other, kids, compensation/tax level, language skills or cultural affinity? I Lived in Europe until had kids as I did not want to raise kids there (personal choice, no relatives ). Also sometimes spouses cannot work on the employer work visa. Also low work portability as you are tied to employer visa.
Turning 45 the year after next and I would move to Europe in a heartbeat, particularly to a country whose language I like learning.
South East Asia should be your choice.
