From SAP. TC aside. Does it worth moving? Any tip on culture, project? Thanks
Constant reorg and layoffs. I hated it
join and let us know. there are people who hate oracle and those that love oracle.
forgot to add that welcome to no raises, no promotion, politics, nepotism lazy folks, knowledgeable folks, good wlb.
OCI?
Yes OCI. They say no bonus but stock refresher in December about 1/4 of my offer RSU. Please confirm.
I’ve been with Oracle for 4 years and 1 year in the OCI org but always interacted with OCI org even before it was launched. Really like the WLF, team and challenges here at Oracle. We are growing quick and building different services and solutions so some people might get overwhelmed with that but I personally like the environment and opportunities. Of course, it’s not perfect but there isn’t any perfect company out there either. I’m optimistic about OCI in general and time will tell. Come and join OCI. You will not regret it.
Love it here, good steady raises and promos, good wlb, good ppl around. what some others say didn’t happen to me, but then I got lucky building stable and well used services too
TC or GTFO
There are reorgs going on all the time. Make sure you have documented evidence of appreciation you receive from any manager. Promotions happen at snail pace. No one really knows when your new title changes or pay hike kicks in (if at all that happens). Keep aside a week/year writing self reviews and peer reviews for which no one knows what value that adds. My advice is to make a clear set of goals/expectations for next 1.5-2 yrs, sharpen your skill set and move out using Oracle as the ladder to where you want to get to. Good luck 🍀
One of the best Company I have ever worked, you can work on the best products, there are pros and cons in every company, you need to take the best and move forward,I strongly recommend for Oracle.
Be ready for no raise for a long period of time.
