As a FTM trans person, I can tell you that testosterone has had zero impact on my abilities, cognitive or otherwise. Just another example of tech industry sexism. I'm glad he was fired

MwBW01, I couldn't figure out if you were trolling or just being a piece of shit. But to clarify, trans people live their early lives as a nightmare, then they live the rest as the gender they were truly born

Thank you all for revealing your true selves on this subthread, it's been enlightening.

  • Google is playing the PC game. Timid pieces of shit afraid to debate ideas. If you can't tolerate a non PC argument, you shouldn't be in the business of organizing the works worlds knowledge.

Just another evil empire afraid of ideas and debate.

    • We have to maintain a culture of safety and tolerance. This fool may have even had some good ideas, I'm not sure yet. The problem is he couched it in ridiculous, misunderstood ideas that frankly insult all women and some men as well. It was inappropriate and presumptuous.

Why? Google is a private company, not the government or some college philosophy class. The dude is not even a real engineer. Look at his LinkedIn profile.

  • Should they have let him stay then give him a taste of his own medicine? I.e. Assume that he's incompetent , interrupt constantly, make demeaning comments, steal credit, call him aggressive due to testosterone, incapable of thought due to being preoccupied with sex constantly , etc etc? How long do you think he'd last in that environment given he'd already been crying about being silenced ?
He wasn't allowed to be sexist at work. Boooyah, poor baby, he was denied a right to discriminate openly. Fuck him

If you read what he said (with charts and peer reviewed academic citations - which was removed by the gizmodo), he was only doing a literature review of science.

He said that men and women are so alike that you cant distinguish a single man from a women. Only when it comes to top jobs like ceo, the distribution shows thats its highly likely that women dont want that job as it leads to more suffering and less happiness. Do read the original article patiently and think for your self. His iview with jordan pieterson is also worth watching

Hell yah. If he was a CEO he wouldn't have made it to work this morning, he'd have been fired before getting out of bed. Here's the pertinent fact: white guys don't get to tell minorities and women that they aren't genetically predisposed to work in tech. That's it. The guy got caught swinging his privileged Dick around and got fired for it. It was the right call and they should do it again if it happens again.

Lovewaffle everyrhing JD wrote was backed by science. I thought he crossed a line when he said women tend to be more neurotic. But it turns out to be backed by science. What he could have said in addition is that being neurotic confers an evolutionary advantage and google help the neurotics on staff and who apply ( male and female ) apply for roles that leverage this advantage. E.g. Roles that require people
who tend to exercise excess caution, such as release Engineering, quality control, automated security systems, etc.

Dealing with anti women bias is necessary but not sufficient if one actually wants to close the gender ratio in tech and raise female pay. Believe me, google wants to close the gender gap but it doesn't want to raise pay.

Follow the money for the reasons behind his furring.

Don't be conned by anti science and have your pockets fleeced.
