For some reason I want a Supra. I am debating if I should sell my current car at 40K, add 25k for a new Supra.
On the good side, I can total afford it. On the bad side, I know I don't need it. I I will not drive much. I drive my current car 4k miles in the last two years. Also I am not going to track it. My biggest goal is FIRE but just started building my equity. So kinda a long way to go. I fear I should save as much as possible now to get prepared for the potential economy recession. With more cash, I can buy more at the recession. Also my current car is already bottoming up, it probably costs like 2k each year. A new Supra on the other hand will probably lose 20k in the first 3 years. The tax alone on it covers my current car in 3 years. Economics wise, it does not make sense.
Family TC: 1M. NW 1.3M (mostly in house and 401k)
