Hey everyone, Wanted to share some details and job openings at Pontoro, a seed stage start up building a platform to revolutionize the Infrastructure Fintech space! $94 trillion of infrastructure financing is needed by 2040; however, financing capacity continues to diminish due to the declining bank debt syndication market and increasing regulatory capital constraints resulting in a $15-30 trillion infrastructure financing gap. While large-scale infrastructure project loans have large size, low default rates, high recovery rates, long-term maturities, stable yields, and are non-correlated to the credit cycle, they are largely inaccessible to a broad spectrum of institutional investors. One needs to be an accredited investor with investment capabilities at the scale of millions to have direct access to these assets. Pontoro is building a blockchain-enabled fintech platform to provide institutional investors: Greater access to high-quality, private market infrastructure loan assets; Improve price discovery and transparency; Increased Liquidity The above 3 value props enable a greater flow of financing from bank originators to help bridge the $15-30 trillion infrastructure financing gap through greater alignment of market participants. These 3 value propositions will greatly benefit the project finance space on their own, but when they work together as we are designing the platform to facilitate, there is a reinforcing feedback loop created. Increased access and price discovery facilitate liquidity and liquidity, in turn, facilitating access and price discovery. The Pontoro team is led by seasoned investment and industry professionals with a combined $100 billion infrastructure track record over multiple market cycles at some of the largest financial institutions including J.P. Morgan Asset Management, GE Capital, and InterGen. On the technology side, we have distinguished leaders and engineers from prevalent blockchain companies like BitGo, Algorand, Avalanche, Cambridge Blockchain. Furthermore, the team also has other Advisors from the SEC, Silicon Valley, and the international financial & VC community. We recently raised a $6.2 Million seed round led by Ulu Ventures, with participation from Franklin Templeton, Banca Intesa Sanpaolo’s Neva Ventures group, Illuminate Financial, Adit Ventures, Fin Venture Capital, Viking Maccabee Ventures, Bloccelerate Ventures, Nevcaut Ventures, Quest Venture Partners, and others. We are expanding our core team and have job openings with details here: https://www.pontoro.com/jobs We are a remote first company with some concentration of folks in SF and Boston. What's the TC that they are offering
Not in a position to throw out numbers since I don't know but base salary will obviously be competitive and it's the first 10 employees, so equity is gonna be great as well with massive upside since the addressable market is huge so valuation will go up fast as you can see from from the big Seed round and there's already people wanting to come in for the A round since we had to turn down a lot of money in the seed round.
