What sectors/companies do you invest in other than tech?

Dec 29, 2020 12 Comments

I looked at my portfolio today, and I realized I’ve mostly invested in tech companies. For the sake of diversification, this doesn’t look good, even though I’m diversifying within the tech sector, and tech seems to continue to kill it for the next few years at least.

So my questions are:
Do you have a healthy balance amongst all sectors?
If so, which other sectors/companies do you invest in?

You could diversify into real estate, financials, and healthcare/pharma.

It’s fine to be in tech but I wouldn’t put 100% in there. Personally, I’m 30-40% tech.

That’s funny.. this other guy says it’s a tool for ignorance? Lol.. this is about risk management and I have 3M in liquid investments.

And genomics? ARKG? Those are buzzwords, and hype, real genomics we won’t achieve till 20-30 years from now. But what do I know, I only made 260% returns in 3 years

Percentages alone are meaningless without dollars. If you made 260% with a large base, and you can sustain continuously for 10 years then my props to you. Maybe if I had 2-400k I would go YOLO.
