Hi Folks, I need help here please. My resume seems to be invisible. I applied for many positions but nothing happen. I reviewed my CV multiple times and tried to add more of the key words related to my work, still nothing. I even tried to rewrite it from scratch. My work isn't rocket science and that is why I want to get more experience. Thanks
Itās like you donāt even exist!
Yes exactly :((
Did you try customizing the resume for every job? I know itās hard doing it but for some roles itās worth a try.
No I didnt try. I am not sure how to do it. Usually the job post will be some info about the requirement in the candidate which are generic and some info about the company
I uploaded it here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dv784Nm2IkZyNg9hHsGGwN4wdE4NHAY_/view?usp=sharing please have a look and tell me what I can improve
Mine was also invisible, but then I realized the font color was set to white instead of black
I uploaded my resume here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dv784Nm2IkZyNg9hHsGGwN4wdE4NHAY_/view?usp=sharing Could you please have a look and tell me if the font and coloring are good or not?

Remove summary. Words like enthusiastic and all that fluff would instantly put you in the reject pile. Remove the last section. Thatās unnecessary. And donāt āmeasureā your experience. Instead of writing something like āI am okay-ish with javaā , just write Java!
I saw your resume for 30 secs, few things I says are to remove the words like enthusiastic, very good, excellent. If they want to know how good they will ask you or put in latex and mention something like 8/10, 9/10. The wording doesnāt help
But that is something immeasurable I think :D I understand your point but I dont know how to quantify it
It's great you're reaching out for help. If you can reach out to a senior manager in your field, you might get more relevant feedback regarding which skills and keywords are valuable to call out. A couple of suggestions I can give is: -remove the line about "cumulative grade." You've been in the industry for awhile, so grades don't matter unless they're spectacular. Unfortunately, not everyone will view 80% as spectacular even though it might be for that particular school. -key accomplishments section are probably the most important. you should really prioritize thing you list there. Instead of just saying you "implemented" something, you should highlight things like how you did the project well such as how much time ahead of schedule, how many fewer bugs compared to previous generation. Some of your accomplishments have that, but do more of it. -when you lead a project or mentored junior engineers, call out how many people worked on the project and how many people you mentored. Leading 10 people is more impactful than leading 2 people, so it's useful information to hiring managers. -if you're a green card holder or US citizen, you'll definitely want to call that out. If you're not, then it's going to be 10 times harder to get an interview even if you have a strong resume.
I have a gap in my resume for around 4 months, how should I mention that? It is not a layoff but I left the company I was working in and was moving to another one then they removed the offer then I dicided I will travel to US
Should I make it more clear since I have a good explanation? Or just hide it?
You just mention month of start and and end of a job. Let the recruiter ask you why you have that break. Frankly it doesn't matter unless the break is for year(s). Even then you don't need to mention it in your resume.
I think it is more into software jobs maybe, because I couldnt find my field there
Remove your details and upload it on google drive. Post it here and people can give you feedback
