I entered late to this fang world from a company that i shoukd have rage quit way earlier, was underpaid during my 20s and early 30s. i joined AWS 11 months back when i was 33, the payrise is amazing, moving to seattle from bay helped too.
I regret not making this move 7 years back, i am at an L5 role but would like to move up, but it takes 4-5 years here for the next level , i am not sure what should i do to accelerate my career after burning my youth. i am technically strong and am a hard worker. I practiced enough now to even solve lc hards at a good pace, should i try for other fangs/apple or stay put for the next 4 years with this relatively ‘lesser’ comp and level?

If you are looking for comp, you could try for following companies infra/cloud teams in Seattle (did this 2 years ago, similar situation, aws on resume helped a lot):
Oracle Principal Engineer: 350k+
Twitter Senior Eng: 330k+
Dropbox:
Apple IC4: 320k+
Google L4+: 300k+
FB L5: 330k+
Lyft L5: 300k+
Uber 5a+: 300k+
If you are really good, you won’t have issues finding interviews/jobs with these companies/level.
I had moved from Amazon L5 to Google L4 with comp of 330k TC.
