Recently was fortunate enough to receive offers from 8 of the 11 companies I interviewed with. Would like to do an AMA to try and provide useful information.
Offers I received:
- Amazon
- Google
- Meta
- Doordash
- TikTok
- Startup (people)
- Startup (Fintech)
- Startup (Fintech)
I interviewed for mostly L4/E4 roles and a few senior positions at the startups.
Rejections:
- LinkedIn :/
- Startup (Metaverse)
- Mobile App Company
Happy to go over what worked, what didn’t, my biggest takeaways, helpful tips, etc.
YOE: 3-4
Old TC: ~250k (200k liquid, 50k Cruise equity, so personally valued at 0)
New TC: > 400k
P.S. if anyone thinks Im bragging, to be honest, i am slightly. Never expected this many offers and feel totally blessed. But as someone who struggled to land a job out of college, i’m very proud of myself :’)

No matter how smart you are - if you come across being unlikeable your odds rocket.
In the meanwhile if you cant solve a problem but work with the interviewer and build a rapport that'll go a LONG way to get hired.
Leetcode count aint everything. High EQ to a degree can help offsets high Leetcode.
I've also had years of competitive sports experience so I don't get nervous so maybe that helps. I think alot of the time people lose to themselves rather than to the interview.
I also think I'm pretty personable. I'm able to establish a connection and joke around during the interview. Although no amount of rapport will save you if you don't solve the LC question, I think it definitely helped in the behaviorals and created a better environment overall.
Also did 500 LC
