Got interview calls from both places. Any help in which one has more potential. Nest - all the chatter on exec leaving and merging with google hardware. Looks a bit chaotic Lyft L5 Driving - pretty new team being created in Palo Alto less than a year. Not sure how much direction the team has and long term prospects. Feel like waiting out another 6mos to 1 year before the dust settles and take interviews then. Any thoughts? Experiences?
Just read the Information article on Lyft’s self-driving ambitions and you’ll quickly realize its lead by amateurs. I don’t know much about Nest’s prospects. If you’re interested in L5 driving, consider Uber, Nvidia or Cruise.
Not waymo?
Nest has a bad reputation for making people work long hours + weekends
Not any more. Lot has changed in the last year plus
If it's Waymo i'd go with it. Not sure what nest is wrt autonomous.

Clear the interviews first. When you have both offer details, they worry about this.
I’m not sure about that. I have seen that joining at right time has more opportunity and growth than blindly going forward. Also it’s a 2 month grilling preparation. I want to be very sure before jumping in.
I doubt you will get offers
