Who is this Charles Scharf? Seems like he has experience being CEO at Visa and BNY. Any thoughts about his leadership? Will he bring drastic changes to Wells Fargo? We all know that's what Wells Fargo needs right? https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/27/at-wells-fargo-a-jamie-dimon-protege-finally-takes-over-a-big-us-bank.html
There will be a lot of changes.
Tons of changes
Charles Scharf brought Jack Welch style rank-and-yank stack ranking to BNY mellon. Where if everyone gives at least 100% we fire the “under performers” who aren’t giving at least 130%. He supposedly put older high-performing employees on PIPs so he could easily fire them without lawsuits. He heavily pushed open floorplan at BNY Mellon. So if you’re at WF and he’s the new CEO, get out while you can.
Exactly that's what he did at Visa.
Couldn’t agree more!
What really matters is whether Congress approves or continues to treat Wells like their b1tch.
He is ex-Visa CEO. He implemented a mix of good and bad changes to Visa.
Such as? I just haven’t heard of the bad so curious to know
Good for shareholders, bad for employees.
AlKelly, could you elaborate? How bad can it be?
more like Charles Schwab amirite
That's what I been thinking everytime I see his name. They literally got a spy as the CEO and no one is noticing.
I work at BNY Mellon, where Charlie Scharf has been CEO for the past 2 years. He has been cleaning house here. There have been drastic changes - management reorgs, layoffs, etc., especially this year. He has his eye on the bottom line.
Protege of Jamie Dimon. Wells is probably going to evolve for the better over the next few years.
A guy overseeing a lot of layoffs at Bank of NY Mellon. And they ended telecommuting.
Tried to
Telecommuting was brought back after the UK employees threatened a lawsuit.
