Salary for SWE Recent college grad in Seattle - Dell EMC

Hi,

My brother recently finshed an internship at Dell and was offered a full time position in Seattle in a different team as a Data Scientist. He is in his final year of Masters in computer Science program.

The breakdown is as follows:
1. Base pay = $120K
2. Annual bonus ~ 5%.

Thats all they are giving, no stock (private company) and no other bonus. This doesnt sound reasonable to me for a place like Seattle, but he doesnt have any other offer in hand at the moment. I asked him to negotiate as he is did well in his internship.

Can anyone please give us some guidance as to the amount that can be asked for?
