What exactly is this? Does day-to-day involve proper software engineering? Is it a good/bad idea to take this role on from SWE at a lower-level company in terms of TC and career trajectory?

    It’s basically the same thing as an SWE but for internal tools. You choose a team while in the bootcamp, stay a year, and then internal transfer to wherever you want.

      Yep, had 2 friends go through it. Pretty easy and chill interviews compared to external ones. It’s more of a formality.

      You only need to go through 1 or 2 system design interviews to transfer to SWE. On top of that, just update your resume and write 1 page of summary of what you have done at Meta past year.
