Goldman India Salaries?

Got an offer from Goldman

Role: VP
Base 65 LPA INR
Bonus is variable

Does this look good offer? I have recently moved to Amazon and I am not liking the work life here. Microsoft was great in terms of WLB.

Current TC: 50 LPA
YOE: 8

It's team dependent. Marcus is brutal for work life balance. Remaining other teams are okish. Probably will be better than Amazon. Offer looks solid. Bonus can be around 10-12 for the first year. So a pretty solid offer I must say

Oh ok, not sure what others have told you. I was there for 7 years and recently quit due to low pay. Work wise , yes it's not a tech company so you wouldnt find much good projects. Wlb wise, if you wanted to be in the top quartile, you needed to really build relationships there. Otherwise, for an avg q2 you just need to work for 8 hours in most of the teams and would have been fine. PIP culture is not that bad, usually you will get a couple of years before which your job is not at risk. I would love to go back to gs with that solid offer.

I was a VP in case u r wondering. Base was 24.4 lpa, plus shit bonus may be 7-8 .. total 32. 😂😂😂😂

    • That's pretty low. All these companies are same. Ready to offer better to outsider but not to the employees staying for long.

If you didn't like WLB at Amazon you certainly won't like it at GS

  • It's highly team dependent. wlb is bad in general. If ur team works on good stuff then it can be really fulfilling or else quite painful and tedious like in any other place but the difference is quite varied in GS rather than faang in my opinion.

    • I worked at CIMD tech blr for a year. I thought it was bad. Very bad wlb and no great projects, worse thing being that the compensation was quite bad even after the slog. The Marcus or Consumer sub division in the other is pretty good from what I had heard

    • Especially due to the stupid or mediocre tech senior management, MD etc. They wer a bunch of legacy tech people who had started as consultants from Infosys or tcs etc. Sadly. Very few talented VP's.
