The only downside is that yahoo isn’t a growing product / company and that there is an exodus of workers right now. If you don’t mind those two things, it can be a great place to work
As far as I know, pay is not competitive to the market at any level.
In my team wlb is also shitty.
Also pay is less. And looks like growth and promotions are also getting harder and harder with company not looking to invest in the employees.
If you find a team with really good WLB, it maybe worth considering, but there is a price to pay.
Also, major downlevel from Amazon if you're still working there @OP
Overall company is good - WLB. Smart people
