Why doesn't OpenAI offshore and reduce expense by 80%
I am interviewing for a Technical Product Manager position at NVIDIA. What can I expect for TC? What is leveling like? Current: TC 221K Level 5 YOE: 4
Unless you're outstanding in the interviews, impressed the team and manager you won't be getting IC4 with 4 yoe. Exception Phd + 4 yoe.
Do they have IC3 TPMs? For example, you have to be L6 to be a TPM at Amazon. You can however be a L5 non tech PM. Also, what would you define as outstanding? What is IC3 TPM comp if applicable?
Based on the data on levels fyi, I see there's a TPM role with IC2...so there should be one with IC3 as well. @Nvidia, IC3, IC4 and IC5 are considered Senior Roles. Outstanding meaning you're a very strong candidate based on the feedback from the interview, your manager wants to hire at any cost. Other factors that can influence are less people applying for the position, position posted from a long time and they need a candidate asap. IC3 Base around 155K-165K, RSUs around 180k-210k, Sign On around 20K-40K...these are for typical IC3 folks but if people with more experience get low levelled they get numbers little higher.
How’s the wlb at nvdia for pm? Of course it will vary across teams but would love to hear about your Experience.
Here’s a Santa Clara IC4 PM offer data point for you, close to max I think: 200k base 240k RSU over 4 years 260k recurring TC 50k signing A larger RSU grant is possible supposedly with CEO approval - $340k/4 was on the table but with no signing bonus.
Thank you!
