I'm planning to open an Roth IRA account and actively manage a part of it while keeping the rest invested in some index fund. So, questions: - Which trading app/brokerage do you suggest? I'm planning to invest in Vanguard total market index fund. So having the IRA account with Vanguard would be great. But their app's review is pretty bad. Anyone use their services? - I'm an international working under H1B. Haven't found any separate restriction for internationals on having IRA accounts. But if anyone has any more insight would love to know.
I am using Charles Schwab and managing my 401k myself. I didn't invest in any funds, I picked just four companies that I really believe in and divided 50% in them. I kept the remaining 50% in cash for any good opportunity. There no restrictions specific to H1B for IRA and/or trading.
Kudos to you! How do you keep peace in your home if you are married. If I did this my wife would have lost her sleep over this along with mine 😅
@phycho I guess she trusts me, and the results show that the trust is well placed.
I like Fidelity.
Don't actively manage. Fidelity has a decent app
The activity managing part won't be more than 10k. It's more like a hobby than a serious future endeavors. Any thoughts on Vanguards index funds?
