I recently switched to a startup based in banglore, India. I came to know that the work here doesn't much revolve around distributed systems. Fairly simple architecture and not much scope of solving any complex engineering problems. Initially my plan was to stay and go for SDE2 when I have the required experience. But now I'm confused. Shall I go for SDE1 opportunity in a year or so where I can work on distributed systems or I should learn them through some side projects , stay and then go for SDE2. I'm only considering the latter because I like the people and work culture here.

I would assume this architecture works enough for the company, hence no need to build for scale. If you really like distributed, go for change, otherwise I'll recommend searching what pinpoint are in the company and fix them
Thanks man
