Posting for a friend:
He was told before interviewing that it was for an L6 position and around $350k total comp. His interviews all went well, and he got an offer - as an L5 and for half the total comp!! He feels too infuriated to even negotiate. He really wanted to work at Google, is there any hope in negotiating or should he let it go, with feedback to recruiter about such silly recruiting practices where they are losing highly talented people? (role is for partnerships)
