I’m about to get an offer from Wells Fargo where I spent 11 years. I really want to get my years of service back as that adds a good bit of PTO. Is this something companies will negotiate on or is it a non-starter?
I’ve personally never heard of that unless it’s something where the person was laid off by the company thru no fault of their own, and then re-hired shortly after. You’d be better off just asked for X hours of PTO added to your PTO bank when you start (or within a set timeframe).
Apple does it
Facebook also does this.
I doubt you’ll get your years of service back but you could always negotiate vacation.
Of course I’ll be asking, my post was just a finger in the wind to see how standard this is
