Negotiating with Amazon
I'll be negotiating TC with Amazon for an SDE II position in the bay working on robotics. What should I know about the dynamics of salary negotiating at Amazon? What are some tips to improve chance of success? What bump in salary, stock, and sign on should I first propose?
Go get other offers now to pit against each other
Get competing offers, or if your current TC is high, use it. Never give them your TC, just justify why it's high.
Best way is to get another offer. If you have knocked the ball out of park during the interview, generally they would hire you at a premium. But there is always little wiggle room for recruiters and hiring managers., try it.
Make yourself look better, more money will come. It’s worked great for me!
