So I am an associate manager as an Accenture flex employee. Current numbers - $79/hour + Health (pretty good) + 10 Days PTO, 401k. No match. No vacation. Sick. Holiday, it’s all the PTO bucket. Experience - 11 years specialized IT experience (SME in various IBM Document Management and Imaging). Advanced in all the supporting areas - Unix/Linux, Databases, Cloud, Storage, etc MBA in MIS. In the grand scheme of things, those are weak as hell. But the pay is excellent. I don’t use a lot of PTO. But the hourly rate is so high to the point where if I wanna miss a few days it’s not an issue. I got a call from chase for a position I applied for that’s AVP level. Based in Dallas. They came at an offer of 120k + 10% bonus. Seems low. I stressed that this skill set is a very VERY hard one to find (and I believe they need a us citizen). I told them that they are just way off but based on the fact that it’s one of the largest if not the largest most prestigious financial institutions in the USA, I would consider negotiating. I asked if based on this, they could change the title from AVP to VP, and I guess that salary starts at 155k. The HR lead is working on getting more information about doing this. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this? #ibm #chase #negotiate #jpmc
Dallas salaries are low in general. But, GS pays more than that for Dallas. Check levels.fyi for a few data points. What's your current location?
Dallas area.
