Negotiating with multiple offers

I have mutiple offers. Recruiter asked to share my salary expectation and other offers so that they can match it. Assuming the other offers are high, should I break the rule of negotiation and give them a number, or still “never say the first number”? It’s a Google vs Facebook/Pinterest situation. Thanks!

Find out top of band TC for your leveling at those companies. And ask for those numbers. Do not negotiate under those numbers. Eg: FB E4 top of band is 167 base, 400/4 and 75 sign on. No matter what other offers you have, they won't go higher.

How about E5?

E5 is 225 base 800/4 and 125 sign on. Pretty confident on the base and sign on. RSU slightly unconfident. I think they can go upto 1M/4.
