Best credit card/what are my option? New to US

I arrived in the US for my master in 2020 and opened a debit at BoA that I use since then.

Now that I have a job, I wanna get a credit card. I had an appointment at BoA to open one last week but I got rejected because of my credit score I assume, can’t see other reason.

I don’t want to wait for end of april to try again so what are my options?
