Howdy! I've got an onsite interview @Netflix Los Gatos in 4 days and I'm pretty nervouse after reading the culture deck/reviews. I'm scheduled to meet with 8 people so far and I'm not really sure what to expect. Anyone who has interviewed at Netflix, can you shed light on the process and tell me what to expect? Thanks in Advance! TC 110k GA 8yoe
I did a full cycle, was a lot of white board programming. I think I was scheduled for 6 people, I made it to 5 and they told me right then that they didnt want to move forward. I am guessing the last person meant you were going to get offer and he was a more senior ‘sanity check’ type person. I thought all their questions were fair and not as much tricky/bs/LC impossible as I saw at Google. I do think you need to nail every interviewer as my first 4 went well and the fifth was a so/so and that seemed to kill me right then. I read the guy wrong and headed down a bad path in answer discussion. I liked how they shot you down immediately and wasnt waiting around for days for rejection. If you arent local, the hotel and stipend was solid for the trip in. Crushed some expense account and had no issue with reimbursement.
Thanks for this feedback! I was feeling confident until I got my itinerary email today and saw the words "Our interviews are progressive, based on the feedback from earlier interviews you may or may not proceed through the interview" Super scared because I really want it
How was system design? How many yoe do you have?
Each group is different at Netflix. What group are you interviewing for?
It's for a support lead position. Nerd Core group
Their culture interview while standard is intense. I suggest rehearsing through previous projects etc
Hopefully I can make it through!! I want this thing BAD!!
Good luck! Be yourself and have fun with it.
Yea., That what you say after you got in
Thanks! How was your interview? Super intense or laid back?
Wish you luck. Be 💪 OP, please let us know how it went next week.
Will do!!! Thanks for the encouragement
Update: Made it through the interview! It went well as far as I can tell! Since they flew me in I did the entire 2 part process in one day and man I was EXHASUTED afterwards. Definitely put my best foot forward as this is a DREAM job so now im just waiting to hear back. Usual meetings are on Tuesdays so I presume they'll gather input from the interviewers and get back to me...hopefully by tomorrow
Subbed
Good luck and subbed as I also have an interview

Yay! Hope it works out.
What system design question were asked from you?
How did the phone screen go?
Went great. Killed the recruiter portion and Manager portion. He asked really basic questions and got a feel for my personality.
