Netflix SLA on replies for applicant via career site
What’s the usual turn around time after applying for a role on the Netflix careers / jobs page. I haven’t heard back in about a week, I didn’t know anyone in Netflix to manage a referral. Is there any way I can get a response ? Anyone willing to refer me, I’m open to a conversation over the phone incase you are hesitant to refer randos.
I have seen our recruiting team and hiring managers as pretty responsive. I applied online and got response next day. Some of the reason I know of slight delay is: - Job description and your resume is not relevant / close match. - Recruiting team has decided to have a diverse pipeline of candidates before they reach out to candidates. Since diversity is one of the key goals for Netflix I have seen hiring team slow down before they pass a message to candidate.
I have the email address of the managers, it’s from the talks they posted on the careers page. I looked them up and their LinkedIn says they are managers and are hiring. Do you think it’s worth emailing them ?
It's ok to email them direct and let them know you have already applied. Only thing I would do before email is making sure job req and your experience has close / relevant match.
Took me a month before I heard back and got a phone screen. After first contact they move very quickly, got an offer the day after onsite.
