Apparently Goldman Sachs is planning to provide a subscription service for data analytics...They want to be the Netflix for data. I don't know if we should feel honored...Anyways do you think there is a market for this kind of stuff? How much would they charge? https://www.businessinsider.com/goldman-sachs-developing-subscription-service-around-data-2019-3
That’s not new. Plenty of startups provides this service.
I never heard a Goldman employee even mention this in their posts.

Good ole “Uber but for ...” business plan. That said this just sounds like they plan to let people access SecDB. Which is actually a genius business idea.
Won't be useful without Bloomberg's data.
We have our ways to make SecDB useful without the dependency on third party data. Allowing other big firms to use SecDb for a giant subscription fee is an idea that's been floating around for a couple months now.
TC or GTFO?
This is a multi billion dollar industry already. They just want a piece of it. Bloomberg data license, blackrock, IDC, ICE, Markit, many others that are specific to niches

There is a market for it but a lot of the companies that operate that have that model are niche and very industry based.
