Would someone who has been through the hiring process at nflx shed some light on when/how the offer is made? Is it after interviews? Phone call? Email? In person? During interview process? Would also be interested in how the offer is made at other FAANG companies. #netflix #hiring #recruitment
Straight cash. Will be higher cash than any of the others.
I heard that Netflix doesn't tell TC until a person deciding to accept the offer since they want the person make decision by role, culture or something. Is that true? If it's true, how people can negotiate comp?
I’ve never heard of this happening. My recruiter will always let the candidate know the pay at the time of the offer. I’ve never had someone ask for more in all the years I have been hiring at Netflix. At least for my org, candidates are getting a big bump from their current job.
Not to mention the Kevin spacey meet and greets!
Basically they want you sold on Netflix, then boom. Knock with a huge base. Negotiations are tough because the base is so High. You gotta talk about total comp and trade off off equity lost, etc to negotiate
It typically depends on the team somewhat. I've walked in at the end of in person interviews and made an offer on the spot; I've also held off for a day or two if I wasn't yet sure, or had other candidates to talk with.
