How's their hiring process like? I'm waiting for the feedback over a month after the final round. Interviews went great I think and the recruiter said. But she is keep saying they are one step from a final decision but couldn't have a chance to hold hiring team to make it because of team members' traveling, off site and etc... Is it just a excuse for waiting other's interview? I'm excited for the role and would like to believe her. Non tech role
This is quite unusual. There is no hiring team. There is only the hiring manager and they make the decision. So it does sound like they have another candidate or something else is going on. We typically give an answer within days of an on site.
I was told that my hiring manager was changed to its colleague who interviewed me at the last due to regional coverage. That makes this longer?
If the hiring manager has changed because someone was promoted or there was a reorg, that could explain the delays, but I'm still surprised the recruiter has not been more clear (or maybe you are just leaving out details).
God recruiters that do this are such scum
When was the last time you followed up? I got an offer the day after my onsite, this seems really unusual from their process.
I followed up last Monday, and the recruiter said they'll have a sync last Friday to make a decision. Then, she told me one of the member couldn't make it that day because of emergency.
Weird, could really just be situations outside of the recruiters control. Are you actively interviewing anywhere else to present a time pressure to your situation?
It turned out due to reorganization of the department I was applying. The role was removed along with original hiring manager. I might be lucky? I was rejected though.
That sucks but keep it up!!
I'm in a similar situation. Had first rounds of onsite 2 weeks ago and the recruiter is 'waiting for feedback.' Not sure what to do at this point
I had few interviews for a job (no tech role). Received super positive feedback. They put the position on hold just trying to understand if they’re looking for a Sr. Manager or Director. We’ll have an update after the Christmas break. Do you believe is unusual?
Highly unlikely you’ll even get feedback or the job. This is recruiting tactic which means you didn’t get it
Umm. So she'll continue saying this until I give up?
Seems like they're stalling you because they believe they'll find a better candidate
