https://www.linkedin.com/feed/news/beyonc-lands-60m-netflix-deal-4654180 Who in the world thinks 60M is worth it? How many new users are gonna sign up to watch these do documentaries? Dude... 60M could be a budget for a movie alone. Not worth it.
Who’s Beyonce?
is it a person? i am about to ask the tc it offers
I was told to ask a certain Jay Z about it
That could have gone into so many good offers but it didn’t
Who wants to watch a documentary about Beyoncé lmfao. They should’ve went after BTS - would’ve got the attention of entire Korean and American youth
A lot of 35+ yo women I know are totally into Beyonce. Maybe Netflix's analysis said that that's the demographic they're underperforming in?
i am not a fan, but beyoncé is a global brand that probably gets underestimated by the US that i don’t think has reached its peak yet. it will probably drive new users. they’d only need 6.66 mil users to break even. they got 10m new users in Q1. additionally that beyoncé film is not their only strategy for new users. all of their new content has a synergy effect to compel new users to sign up. your question seems hyperbolic, netflix knows what they’re doing. it wasn’t much of a gamble.
“They know what they are doing.” How many 6.66 million users will sign up to watch her documentaries?
if they sign up, it won’t be JUST for beyoncé, it’ll be for beyonce + master of none + love death robots. this is what i meant by synergy. 1 + 1 = 3 here. and 60mil over the course of a quarter or two is a drop in the bucket.
They spend money on crap movies and shows and keep hiking the subscription price.
Netflix should hire you, you would save them so much money 😂
Beyoncé’s TC 😍
Just remember that we live in a bubble in tech. There is a huge availability bias when we judge products because the sample of people in tech does not even closely resemble the population that is Netflix’s market. People go nuts over Beyoncé. Even if we scratch our heads, it’s quite possible this is huge for Netflix’s product image.
Started watching, it was boring. Just watched the full performance on youtube.
I am starting to believe the crazydaysandnights.net posts that claim Netflix is a big money laundering operation.
Tech companies and wallstreet seem like a big money laundering operation for the rich😀
