Netflix product innovation and hiring

A few questions about Netflix: 1. Is the product innovation group the same as product management or is it a subgroup of PM? 2. What’s the leveling for product innovation/management? This if for an IC role. 3. Do Netflix recruiters generally cast a wide net? My current title is PM but the Netflix role is a director level one. Sounds like a much higher level than I am currently at and am thinking this is a waste of time.

Product Innovation is the consumer PM function. Most are director a few Sr manager. Director at NF is pretty senior, hut if they reached out doesn't hurt to chat.

Thanks @rj! What was the interview process like? And if I may ask, what was the result? I have a strong feeling that the recruiter is casting a wide net. I don’t have c level experience nor was I ever a vp at a company so I am definitely confused by her reaching out. That being said, I still will be open for a chat.

Know a few pm’s at Netflix and neither are happy. Netflix is super proud of their unique culture, and it’s great if you’re an investor in netflix. Just not a great place to work.
