Increasing competition in the video streaming segment after heawyweights like Apple and Disney decided to step into the game, not to mention Prime Video and tons of others cast a shadow on Netflix’s dominanance. Rising prices and loss of a few popular shows creates some short-mid term issues. Do you think Netflix would be able to overcome this or is it going to start fading away? TC 450
Netflix is fucked but on the tech front they are 10x better. That is no joke. Even the shittified UI is still better than HBO etc. I’m probably canceling the service though. The content is pretty terrible except stranger things.
Netflix UI is the worst—ever since they launched THAT DARN AUTO PREVIEW!! 🤬
HBO now is worse.
One thing about Their competitors is that they're not 100% reliant on streaming profits, Amazon will not die off if their streaming services don't work out. Netflix's original contents r duds compared to how much they spent on it (will Smith for Bright comes to mind) Amazon seems to be doing better in that front with Oscar wins (manchester by the sea) and more popular series like mrs maisel and castle in the sky etc.. Disney won't go anywhere either. We r comparing a company's core business with their competitor's side hustle/new business pivot, so I think things might get hard for Netflix in the future if their original contents don't step up their games
They just launched a show about competitive glass blowing. I'm optimistic
😂
Let’s wait to see Disney platform, content and price. Is very possible that Netflix will merge to other stream services or expand

I don't think that Netflix has enough interesting content to keep people subscribed all year. We'll likely see people subscribe for a month, binge watch all the new seasons of shows (e.g. Stranger Things, Madam Secretary, Designated Survivor, Shooter, etc) and then cancel the subscription and wait another 6 to 12 months before doing the same thing again.
Yahoo came up with their search engine after Google destroyed it. That's Disney you are looking at.
I’m afraid is not the same analogy, Disney has a lot of content, even if they want they can buy Netflix
Netflix has much more content than Disney. Thats why Disney+ is priced low. You'll see in a few months.
Disney has 1/12 the content budget

Which company is best to have on your resume?
I can argue similar for Uber as well. Getting fierce competition in every single business. No path to profitability as well
True, but question is about Netflix.
