The new H1-B Policy is good news for FAANG employees or bad news? http://money.cnn.com/2017/10/25/technology/business/h1b-visa-renewal-uscis/index.html
What is the new policy?
The article is from October 25, 2017 🙄
And what is FAANG?
What's this ? What policy ? Riddiculas and vague question ..
They are doing away with H1b and green cards. Then they will employee the semi-literate trump supporters along with the 100 Norwegians who agree to immigrate to USA ( for $500k a year jobs) in government and private sectors and hence make America great again and take it back to 1850. In the meantime China takes over half of Asia/Africa while Russia / North Korea split the rest.
I shouldn’t forget the Canadian white supremacist who had a solution to the green card backlog come to him in a dream where 10 years of efforts by congress, immigrants and dozens of lobbyist groups failed. He is made the immigration vice chancellor under Foorer Trump the 1st.
What’s the new policy again?

What is the new policy ?
H1B has been abused by companies to import low skilled immigrants who take jobs from Americans. It's time we raise the income threshold.
Agreed. As long as skilled workers come to work, it wouldn’t be a problem. But once the visa is abused, I think there will be issues starting to pop.
Many skilled engineers who have done masters in the US are not able to get through the lottery where as low skilled and talented candidates get a visa and abuse the system.
@ipad, Sorry but that is incorrect. These are not talking points, nor are abuses limited to a small percentage of cases. Look at which companies get the majority of visas, for their employees, and at what income levels. The outsourcing firms get the lion’s share, esp. for lower-paid positions. This is a blatant subversion of the intent of the H1B program, which is truly meant for highly-skilled workers coming from abroad, such as those at FANG companies. This abuse, and it’s attendant political backlash, put the careers of those deserving of the visa at risk, unnecessarily (—From a child of immigrants, whose second language was English, and is definitely not a Trump supporter). It’s important to be careful about throwing around assertions and rhetoric, without evidence to back it up. Because that additional drama can only hurt the political viability of the H1B program, which hurts those it’s most meant to allow in, and thus the overall health of our industry.
