New grad SDE 1 looking for a team in Seattle

Hi, starting at Amazon in July as a new grad SDE 1. HR has told me org placement won't happen until 90 days before my start date. Looking to proactively find a team that I can work well on. Background is in full stack web and data science. Prefer to be on a customer-facing product/team with a great wlb.

Are you honestly saying that a company cannot make a great product and not sacrifice the well-being of the individuals? I don't see those 2 things being completely disjoint.

Maybe a company can... ...but not Amazon lmao

I find my WLB as an SDE I satisfactory

Customer facing and WLB do not mix... customer facing means a sexy night out with your laptop and pager.

Amazon Boto Dec 22, 2018

Agree. You can work on a tier 2 service if you want good WLB. Otherwise be prepared for a tough but rewarding job.

Thanks for the insight

Per my Amazon's WLB doesn't exist. So good luck to you and your "WLB"

I work at aws as sde and my wlb is good ^_^ except when I am on oncall every two months for a week

Hi,I'm hiring, let's talk!

I find my WLB good as SDE at amazon. Customer facing team. When I am oncall, 1 week every 3 months, it is not that good.
