Optimizing LLM performance feels like premature optimization
Need help deciding on new grad SWE offers. This is a rough breakdown. Datadog: In NYC 120k base 100k rsu over 4 years 24k Sign on + reloc Audible: In Newark 125k base 100k rsu over 4 years ( amazon vesting) 35k sign on + reloc Coinbase: In SF 135k base 50k annual rsu (no cliff quarterly vesting) no sign on Have a hard time deciding, the culture seems pretty decent at all of them, id probably say that datadog seemed the most interesting and friendly. At face value coinbase offer seems the best but I'm afraid of the stock dipping hardcore. #audible #datadog #coinbase #amazon #offers #newgrad #newgradsalary

Aren’t they your competition? This is a underrated comment.
You should go where you think you'll learn the most
Yeah I think that makes sense, but its kinda hard to tell which place would be best for that just from interviews. You'd say that Coinbase has a lot of learning opportunity?
Coinbase definitely has a ton of learning opportunity because you get to learn crypto/DeFi on top of regular software development, if you're into that.
Go Datadog, they have a great culture. Ask for more RSUs with the other offers tho?
Can u let us know the timeframe of these offers? Generally recruitment for these companies completes in fall.
coinbase is closing sf office so don't take that into consideration. they are a remote first company so location does not matter, but you may want to relocate to a place near another office
With CB you can sell stock once it vests so you don’t have to worry as much about it losing value
Audible is Amazon so safe to ignore. For others, can't go wrong with either. Choose thr team you like most.
