Can all of you post the compensation you know for return interns? I am looking at LinkedIn mostly because I was just extended an offer there but please feel free to compare against new grad in other companies too. Role is ui. Software Engineer 125k Base, 200k Microsoft stocks, 30k sign on, 10% bonus Previous yoe from India, before masters: 3 (I am not sure how much this helps?)
Adobe 110k base, 40k stocks, 15k sign on, 5% bonus
That’s a kickass new grad offer. Congratulations! Standard return offer at FB is 110k base, 150k RSU, 60k sign-on bonus. For “rockstar” interns, it goes up to 220k RSU and 100k sign-on.
No wonder it is a great offer. But I is it even if OP has 3 yoe + masters. Considering someone with 0 yoe would also get the same offer, don't you think the offer is a bit low for OPs exp?
Master’s return offer at FB is 115k base, rest is the same. Tbh 3 yoe in India means absolutely nothing. Master’s degree doesn’t mean much either. PhDs start at E4.
Great offer op. Congrats. I am jealous. How can LinkedIn continues to pay so well even after being aquired?
Thank you :) I think LinkedIn still works as an individual company more or less. From the short time I have been here, people have a fierce sense of individuality and pride in their values and cultures. There did not seem much change in their processes or goals after Microsoft acquisition.

So, is this a SDE2 offer, since 4yoe?
No, software engineer role. Let me update that in the post.
