Currently interviewing for new positions because I'm bored where I work. Sometimes, though, I wonder if I should just use my free time for other things like a side hustle or picking up a new hobby.

What would you guys do?

For reference with my TC, I live in a LCOL area.

Edit: 5 YOE

YOE would be good context. If itโ€™s 10+, then chill. If itโ€™s only a couple, youโ€™d be doing yourself a disservice

Sounds kinda lazy dude. Well.. depending on your YOE. Nothing wrong with coasting a bit if youโ€™ve been around a while but extended coasting usually leads to just feeling like and/or being a human glacier.

I have 5 YOE. I get what you're saying, but to play devil's advocate against your point: there's no glory in working hard for someone else. Especially when it's low-brow web development building internal apps lol.

Just get a second job on too of Move. If you can find another chill job, you'll be made. Look into OverEmployed (dot)com

Move is not government, it will not be around forever. Keep your skills up to date working in new environments.

  • If you want more money then move, or stay and start a company. If you think you have plenty of money already then stay.
