Formerly an engineer for the same company, moved into sales within a large untapped territory. I’ve got a lot of student loans to pay down so I’m balancing loyalty for the opportunity and personal financial situation.
Role: Outside medical capital equipment sales on all product portfolio. No direct internal sales generating leads for me specifically so everything from prospecting to in person closing to in-service training and managing the accounts already present.
Austin, TX
Base: 65k, OTE 85k
Commission: 1%; Deals range from 1k to 1M depending on product and customer.
No stock options or other benefits to TC.
Should I stay in Med Device Sales or utilize engineering background and jump to MedTech/SaaS?
