Next career move!

I am a. Net Developer with Azure experience for a little over 4 years now. I am planning to apply for MS as that is the largest company who hires .Net developers I guess. I think my experience matches with them. I am on H1 work visa now, so have to look for sponsorship too. Will start LC and CTCI soon. Can you guys give me any suggestions! Thanks!

Leetcode should suffice. Do a lot of it

Medium and hard ones?

Microsoft xVeQ24 Mar 3, 2019

I wouldn’t go by the difficulty levels. Do the top interview questions and then you’ll get more idea which topic (graphs/ LL/ trees) to follow

I had mostly .NET experience and interviewed with amazon and google. Just learned enough Java for the interview and used that. They didn’t care. Just sayin, you don’t have to pigeonhole yourself.

Heard TC is better at Google than the rest?

What is your TC? Looking to apply to WellsFargo IT.

I'm a contractor being a visa holder. It's 100k in NC. ASE5 will go up to 130k.

Microsoft 4;2@&fda Mar 3, 2019

Thanks. You get 100k after the consulting company takes their cut? How much do you pay for health insurance?

Apply everywhere, top companies don't care about .net or whatever as long as you have done meaningful projects.

I should say have not done a lot of stuff outside work. So, may be I have to start now. Just did few small things here and there, nothing robust.

I'm a .net developer as well. How's wellsfargo?

Wells Fargo Security27 OP Mar 4, 2019

Depends on the project and team. Some teams use very old technologies and some are almost up to date. And some teams have very little development. So make sure you find out what you want.

I guess we share something in common. I'm planning to make the same move some time down the road. Need to lc a lot more though.

1. Leetcode 2. Don't limit yourself to .net (no matter how awesone c# is), learn in Java or python because a)msft don't care much(at least from what I've seen) b)you'll have more exposure and be more comfortable in interviews with non-.net shops
